AFC Bournemouth have completed their new kit releases for the coming season, preparing for another term in the top flight.
Manager Eddie Howe has been touted as a potential successor to Roy Hodgson for the England job but that seems to be a little fanciful, unless it were under the tutelage of Arsène Wenger, for example. In those circumstances, there’s a strong argument to be made for Howe remaining in charge at Dean Court at the same time.
In keeping with their earlier promotional shots, the Cherries preferred to have their stars caught in action instead of the usual grimaces.
AFC Bournemouth 2016/17 Third Kit
This is the Bournemouth third kit for next season.
The Cherries will occasionally wear a neon green kit. It’s bright; very bright. There isn’t much in the way of trim to deflect attention away from the shirt’s colour; just thick bands around the bottom of each sleeve forming a sold cuff.
Other than that, it’s the red logo of primary sponsor, Mansion, which does little to dull the senses.
The kit is finished by black shorts with green trim at the bottom of each leg. Black socks with a thick black band at the top are the final touch.
It’s bright and certain to dazzle when it’s worn. But who can begrudge Bournemouth their moment in the sun? They stayed up with a bright style of football and that’s no bad thing.
