Birmingham City have released their 2016/17 away kit. Manufactured by Adidas, the Blues will be in the red next season, on their travels.
Birmingham City 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the away kit Birmingham City will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The shirt is all red, with minimal white trim. With the solid white v-neck collar, it’s reminiscent of Adidas’ shirts for Nottingham Forest during their heyday of the late 1970s, when they crowned ‘Champions of Europe‘ in consecutive seasons.
Adidas’ trademark Three Stripes run from the collar across the shoulder to the mid-point on each sleeve. It’s a slightly longer design than we’ve seen before; previously, the stripes have ended at the shoulder. The cuffs are red and white halves, contained in a wide band at the sleeve end.
The club crest and manufacturers logo sit on either side of the chest, with primary shirts sponsor 888 sport, having their logo in the midriff, in white font.
On the back, secondary sponsor, No5, features their logo on the bottom of the otherwise clean designed shirt.
The socks and shorts are also red. On the right leg of the shorts sits the club crest whilst Adidas’ stripes run down the outside of each leg. The socks feature a three horizontal stripe turnover with the Adidas logo on the front of the shin.
It’s a straightforward kit for Birmingham City to wear next season and one which is hard to find fault with.
