AS Monaco have unveiled their 2016/17 kit range made by Nike.
The sportswear manufacturer has taken its summer template and adapted it to the Monégasque club colours for the home kit.
Third in last season’s Ligue Un, AS Monaco will be hoping to qualify for the Champions League when the final play-off draw is made next month.
AS MONACO 2016/17 HOME KIT
This is the AS Monaco home kit which will be worn next season.
The red and white of the Monaco flag returns in the now-traditional angular halved shirt. Nike has drawn a thin red band around the collar, leaving and rejoining the red upper body of the shirt.
A red stripe runs from under the arm to the waistline on either side of the body.
The kit is completed by white shorts with a red stripe down either leg and in keeping with Nike’s template, red socks. It’s a striking colour combination with the deep red a dominant feature of the kit.
AS MONACO 2016/17 AWAY KIT
This is the AS Monaco away kit for next season.
There is a strong hint that a third kit will be issued by the white base colour. Whilst the trim is blue, the shirt design is quite straightforward. A blue band sits across the sides and back of the collar.
From the shirt cuff, under the arm and down each side of the body runs a blue stripe.
The kit is finished by white shorts with blue trim and blue socks. It’s strong contrast in terms of colour but unlikely to solve many problems with colour clashes in matches where opponents wear white.
Expect a third kit to be issued before the season begins.
