After weeks of speculation and numerous leaks, the Arsenal 2016-17 kit is set to be launched on Monday.
Arsenal 2016-17 Home Kit
This is the Arsenal 2016-17 home kit as modelled by Granit Xhaka, is below.
The Swiss international is expected to be announced as the latest addition to Arsenal’s squad next week before heading off to Euro2016 with his country. A reported fee of £30m has been agreed with German side Borussia Monchengladbach, that will see Xhaka realise his dream of playing in the Premier League.
The famous red shirt and white sleeves remain but manufacturer Puma have inserted a darker red stripe down the centre of the shirt. It hasn’t been well received but overall, the kit is a safe design with few risks.
The white collar gives way to white shoulder panels that lead to the sleeves. With thin navy trim on the shirt sleeve cuffs and neckline, the top is completed by white underarm panels. The club crest rests on the left Brest, opposite the logo of kit-maker, Puma.
The kit is completed by white shorts and red socks that have a white turnover.
Overall, there isn’t too much change from the 2015-16 kit beyond a squarer shape to the collar. With the shoulder panel lung, the kit is reminiscent of the one worn during the 1990/91 title-winning season.
