Antoine Griezmann to Join Decathlon in Major Boot Deal

Antoine Griezmann is set to join French retailer Decathlon as a part of a brand new boot deal. The Atlético Madrid forward parted ways with German sporting giants Puma at the end of the 2023/24 season, ending a 14 year long partnership.

Griezmann has been spotted wearing an array of different boots over the past few months but recently the forward has been seen wearing KIPSTA’s CLR boot silo. KIPSTA is a part of the Decathlon family, meaning it is highly likely that Griezmann will be announced as a Decathlon athlete in the coming weeks.

Despite this being an unconventional deal, it looks like Decathlon are looking to make a major statement in the footballing world. Along with their potential partnership with Griezmann, Decathlon will sponsor the Ligue 1 ball this season along with the UEFA Europa and Europa Conference League balls from next season.

With Nike, Adidas and Puma dominating the football boot world over the last four decades, it is refreshing to see brands such as Decathlon looking to break the mould.

In other news, River Plate have had their 2024/25 away kit leaked online.
