América Mineiro, based in Brazilian city Belo Horizonte, fell back into the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, following their 20th place finish in Serie A last season.
The club, often called América MG or América Futebol Clube, is the third biggest professional football club in the city behind Atletico Mineiro and Cruzeiro.
Despite this, some famous internationals have played in the green and black.Arguably the best was Tostão, a World Cup winner in 1970 with arguably the finest ever football side. Other notables include Fred and Gilberto Silva.
América Mineiro 2017 Lupo Kits
This is the América MG 2017 home kit:
The club’s 1971 Campeonato Mineiro triumph was their first in fourteen years. This design is an homage to that year’s shirt. Three evenly spaced stripes in green and black travel the front and back of the body. The sleeves are solid green.
The trim on the shirt is black, in the form of a rounded collar and sleeve cuffs.
The away shirt is all-white with green trim.
The collar features a retro tie, honouring the ten Campeonato Mineiro’s won between 1916 and 1925. It comes with the white home shorts, featuring green trim down the side and bottom of each leg.
Each of the kits has a wealth of detail replicated.
The final kit in the range is a green and white striped design:
