It’s a busy time of the year for Nike. Chelsea 2017/18 away kit is the latest of their releases and the first of their new technical supply contract.
Like the home kit, it was widely leaked beforehand, photos which proved to be accurate.
The summer transfer window has been slow so far. Willy Caballero gave everyone else hope when he joined on a free transfer but there’s signs of life. Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Alex Sandro all expected to arrive shortly.
Premier League champions and losing FA Cup finalists wasn’t a bad haul in Antonio Conte’s first season. Next time around, they are aiming for the Champions League as well.
Chelsea 2017/18 Away Kit
This is the Chelsea 2017/18 away shirt:
It’s another standard Nike template, this time in light silver with a darker hue effect on the sleeves.
I’m not a fan of the Nike template anyway but the lighter colours are the worst in the range. This proves the point with the sleeves looking ‘grubby’.
Royal trim and accents in the form of the collar band and side panels barely improve the look.
Silver shorts with royal blue trim mirror the home kit design, while royal blue shorts with silver trim complete the kit.
Not a miss but definitely not a hit from Nike.
