For Milan, a return to the Europa League is hardly the big time. The former European giants enter the third qualifying round of the Europa League next season.
It’s the first time since 2013/14 the Rossoneri has competed in European competition. That season they reached the Round of Sixteen of the Champions League where they fell 1 – 5 on aggregate to eventual losing finalists, Atletico Madrid.
Milan debuted their 2017/18 home kit in last Sunday’s 3 – 0 win Bologna, a result which confirmed their sixth place finish in Serie A. Goals from Gerald Deulofeu, Keisuke Hond, and Gianluca Lapadula sealed the victory.
