Marseille released their 2017-18 kit range, the final produced by Adidas.
French fashion demands “ooh la la” while clubs look to avoid “ooh my god” with the designs. L’OM did just that, with a set of kits which get the basics spot on.
Their Ligue Un fate this season may be decided this weekend. Currently fifth, they sit one point ahead of Bordeaux with the last 2017-18 Europa League place up for grabs. If Marseille win, they are guaranteed European football.
Lose and it goes down to the following weekend when Marseille must beat Bastia and hope Lorient’s survival instincts give them a win over Bordeaux.
Marseille 2017-18 Home Kit
This is the 2017-18 home kit:
The home kit is, as ever, all-white. With the expiry of last season’s Intersport sponsorship deal, the aesthetically pleasing look becomes a classic.
While that may not last and financially, L’OM need to take the corporate dough, we can enjoy the understated sky blue trim with tonal white stripes unimpeded.
Completing the kit are white shorts and socks, with sky blue accents.
Marseille 2017-18 Away Kit
On their travels, Marseille’s 2017-18 away shirt is thus:
The sky blue shirt is again plain but this time features white trim in the form of crests and Adidas’ Three Stripes.
Meanwhile, the royal blue shorts also come with white trim, while the sky blue socks feature a royal blue turnover.
Marseille 2017-18 Third Kit
If the home and away shirts are classics, 2017-18’s Marseille third shirt is the jewel in the crown:
All purple, the kit relies on the simplicity of its design for the chic look. A polo collar aims this firmly at the casualwear market, where it is sure to be a hit with the white accents and trim adding to the stylishness.
The kit is finished with purple shorts and socks, both coming with white trim.
