Dutch side Vitesse Arnheim, launched next season’s home kit early! They found the perfect occasion: the KNVB Cup final, taking place today at De Kuip, Feyenoord’s home ground. Their opponents are AZ Alkmaar.
Founded on 14th May 1892, Vitesse has never won the cup or a national title before. Is this the perfect occasion? The season bodes well for Vitas. They beat AZ 2 – 1 at home before drawing 2 – 2 in Alkmaar. Vitesse are currently sixth in the Eredivisie, one place and a point behind AZ, with two games to go.
A strong link with Chelsea gives them a steady flow of the west London club’s young starlets. As well as that stream of players, Rocky van Wolfswinkel is familiar to Norwich City fans. They also have one of European football’s best-named midfielders: Marvelous Nakamba.
Vitesse Arnheim 2017-18 Home Kit
This is the home kit Vitesse Arnheim will wear in Sunday’s KNVB Cup final:
The kit is a traditional yellow and black striped design in keeping with the club’s 125th anniversary.
The shirt features a number of distinctive touches. A black winged collar comes with two yellow bands close to the edge, while a yellow triangle sits at the bottom. The evenly spaced stripes across front meet on the back with a solid black panel for player identification. It’s completed with yellow sleeve cuffs.
The club crest features a “125 Years” tag while on the reverse of the shoulders, the same motif is embossed on the shirt.
