Valencia marked International Women’s Day by wearing updated away kits for this afternoon’s clash at the Vincente Calderon Stadium. It was the club’s last visit to Atletico Madrid’s famous stadium before they move home at the end of the season. Diego Simeone’s men won 3 – 0. Two goals from Antoine Griezmann and one from Kevin Gameiro settled the game.
Valencia International Women’s Day Kit
This is the Valencia International Women’s Day kit:
The shirt is the standard Adidas black away shirt but features the ‘UN Women‘ slogan and motif as shirt sponsors.
Los Che don’t currently have a main sponsor for their shirts, so this is a unique design for the season. The all-black shirt with orange trim is a striking combination, enhancing the visual impact of UN Women on the chest.
Meanwhile, the left sleeve features the splash patch, “50/50 Planet by 2030“.
While Valencia wore an upgraded shirt for the day, the orange shorts and black socks are those used throughout the season.
’50/50 planet by 2030′ is the UN campaign for Sustainable Development Objectives to be fulfilled by 2030. The focus is on equal rights and opportunities for all, regardless of sex.
