Vancouver Whitecaps unveiled their stunning 2017 home kit in their 2 – 0 win over New York Red Bulls. The win puts the Caps into the CONCACAF Champions League semi-finals. They face Mexican club Tigres UNAL in the two-legged tie.
Sixteen year-old Alphonso Davies and Fredy Montero scored the goals which gave Vancouver victory. It’s their best Champions League performance, improving on 2015’s group stage.
Vancouver Whitecaps 2017 Home Kit
This is the Vancouver Whitecaps 2017 home kit:
The kit is white with blue trim and accents. Adidas’ design feature small blue triangles. These represent raindrops in a nod toward the city of Vancouver’s nickname, “Rain City”.
The v-neck collar is much-favoured in this season’s MLS. On this kit, it’s in dark blue, as are the Three Stripes which feed off it across the shoulder. The sleeve cuffs are also in dark blue.
On the left hem, the club’s history is celebrated with the tag, “SINCE 1974”, underlining how much more established they are as a club compared to the rest of the MLS.
White shorts with Three Stripes down the side of each leg complete the kit, while the socks are also white.
Vancouver face Philadelphia Union on Sunday night at BC Place.
