Continuing the recent wave of international kit releases, Belarus has issued their 2016/17 home and away kits. Manufactured by Adidas, both features a unique pattern, typical of the nation’s cloth.
The away kit was first used in the recent friendly in Norway, with the visitors winning by the only goal of the game. Good fortune follows the interesting design, obviously.
BELARUS 2016-2017 HOME KIT
All-white, the kit is a fairly straightforward affair.
Black trim and accents feature on the shirt and shorts, with the colourful Football Federation of Belarus crest on the left breast.
The eye-catching detail is the chest band. Underneath the black upper band, the pattern within the red background is not dissimilar to the ornament on the Belarus flag.
BELARUS 2016-2017 AWAY KIT
This is the Belarus 2016-17 away kit:
Black, with white trim and accents, the short features a grey pattern along the lines of the home shirt. A traditional look, the band this time is further down the shirt with a white lower band.
The shorts and socks are predominantly black with grey trim and accents
It’s certainly an intriguing design from the FFB and Adidas, one celebrating the country’s heritage in a modern football environment.
