Chelsea‘s final kit to be designed by Adidas before the move to Nike will be the third kit for 2016/17. Previously leaked when the away kit was launched earlier in the month, the design is clean white
The Blues new manager, Antonio Conte, has been widely praised for his early work with the squad although the results have yet to be seen in their pre-season friendlies to date. Chelsea recently beat Liverpool 1 – 0 in a match more memorable for Cesc Fabregas’ dismissal than anything else.
CHELSEA 2016/17 THIRD KIT
This is the third kit which Chelsea will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The kit is a simple all-white design with blue trim. Adidas, mindful of the scorn which was heaped on their home kit design, has returned with a marginally better away kit before landing a failsafe option in this template.
Unlike other clubs, Chelsea have opted to keep the accents all one colour, that of the royal blue for which they are famous.
The collar is blue with a thin white band at the top. Sleeve cuffs are also blue, as are the trademark Adidas Three Stripes. The iconic motif runs from under the arm to shirt hem, meeting their counterparts on the leg of the shorts.
White shorts and socks complete a straightforward kit.
