Real Madrid are smarting after losing out on Paul Pogba. The Spanish giants are looking to Moussa Sissoko to join Alvaro Morata as the men to improve their squad and chances of wresting the La Liga title from Barcelona.
Whereas the home and away kits are straightforward designs, working on the maxim that simple is beautiful, this kit is one which forges a fashion direction. The pattern on the sleeves references the fountain in the centre of the Plaza de Cebiles, the traditional celebration ground for the club’s supporters.
REAL MADRID 2016/17 THIRD KIT
This is the third shirt Real Madrid will wear for the 2016/17 season:
The base colour of the shirt is black. with the subsidiary colour of purple on the sleeves and trim.
The round neck collar and cuffs are both black, as is the front and back of the body of the shirt. Adidas has placed its trademark Three Stripes down either side of the body in light purple.
But it’s the sleeves which are the eyecatching feature of the shirt. At first the design is simply rectangles and circles but reflects the Plaza de Cebiles, the favoured place for Madrileño footballing celebrations.
Black shorts and socks with purple trim complete the kit.
A striking design for the Champions of Europe!
