Hull City celebrate their return to the Premier League with new home and away kits.
The club are currently seeking a replacement for Steve Bruce whose abrupt departure as manager left the pre-season in turmoil. Apparently frustrated by the lack of funds for new signings, the former Manchester United captain severed ties with a club he has been in charge of for a little over four years.
HULL CITY 2016/17 HOME KIT
This is the home kit that Hull City will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The amber and black stripes are evenly space around the shirt body and with the white collar, the design is reminiscent of those by Diadora worn a decade or so ago. This time though, the collar is a y-shape. On the reverse of the shirt, the nickname “TIGERS” is printed in white on the central black stripe.
The shorts are as you expect, black whilst the socks are amber with a black and white hoop.
HULL CITY 2016/17 AWAY KIT
On their away trips, Hull City will wear this kit:
The all black uses minimal amber trim. There is a thin band on the collar whilst the inner material is also amber.
The same “TIGERS” motif appears on the back of this shirt whilst the KC Stadium’s co-ordinates are printed on the inside of the back of the neck.
The kit is completed by black shorts and socks, the latter featuring amber hoops.
It’s a straightforward and uncomplicated set of kits from the banks of the Humber. Whether it’s enough for Hull City to remain in the top flight for more than one season remains to be seen.
