It wasn’t just in Spain that new kits emerged from Europe’s elite. Perennial Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich unveiled their new 2016/17 away kit.
Their home kit made its debut on the final day of last season, in the 3 – 1 win over Hannover 96 and saw the club’s kit manufacturer, Adidas, produce a stylish polo-style shirt. This time, they’ve taken aim at the fashion market.

The Bavarian club will wear grey next season.
The front of the shirt is tri-tonal shades of grey. The sleeves and top right shoulder are lighter grey with a central, diagonal mid-grey sash. The front of the shirt is completed by a charcoal grey panel. The back of the shirt is solid lighter grey, matching the sleeves.
The collar and cuffs are black.
On the reverse, the club has opted for “tradition” in the slogan, “Mia san mia” embroidered into the collar with the club name across the shoulders. Below that is the club’s name in their native German, in large Solar Red letters. Adidas’ trademark Three Stripes run across the shoulder in the same colour.
The shorts and socks are in black with Solar Red trim.
It’s an inventive shirt design, lifting what might be considered mundane colours and giving them a lively and distinguished life of their own.
