Real Sociedad from the Basque town of San Sebastian, have unveiled their new Adidas kits for the upcoming 2016/17 season.
The club finished ninth in La Liga last season. Whilst it’s a world away from the heady days of the 1980s when they won back-to-back titles and reached the Champions Cup – now Champions League – semi-finals, it’s better than the times in the Segunda Division.
Real Sociedad 2016/17 Home Kit
Launched at the Anoeta, this is the home kit which Real Sociedad will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The club has traditionally based its’ kits around the colours of the flag of San Sebastian: white shirts with blue stripes. Next season is no exception.
The body of the front of the shirt has two thick blue stripes either side of the rounded v-neck collar. The neckline is blue at the front and white around the sides and back.
On the seams of the shoulder and arms are thinner blue stripes, fading into the side of the shirt. Adidas has placed their Three Stripes down the side of the body.
The back of the shirt is solid blue whilst the sleeves are solid white with a thin blue band for cuffs.
The shorts are white with the Adidas stripes down the side. At the bottom of each leg is a blue band. The kit is completed by blue socks.
Real Sociedad 2016/17 Away Kit
As well as launching the home kit, Real Sociedad unveiled their away kit.
All black, the away kit comes with an electric blue trim.
The shirt is a straightforward pattern-less design, with a round collar featuring an electric blue band around the back and sides. Leading off and running to the edge of the shoulders are Adidas’ stripes in the same colour.
On the back, as with the home shirt, is a Basque flag.
Adidas has presented black shorts with electric blue stripes, with logos and the club crest in the same style. Black socks with blue trim finish the kit.
It’s a stylish range of strips from the Basque region with a striking away kit.
