Torino Unveil Stunning 2016/17 Kits

The Italian kit designers are on fire at the moment and Turin’s second club, Torino, have taken a high bar and raised it.

The club celebrates its’ 110th anniversary this December, when a group led by Alfred Dick, disagreed with Juventus’ professional id=”more-4011″> status, formed FC Torino. They opted for granata, a burgundy colour, for their shirts and it is still used to this day.

Their tale encompasses the highs of dominating Italian football to the despair of the Superga air disaster andbankruptcy in 2005, one year before its’ centenary.

Now, firmly ensconced in Serie A, the Italians have released a stunning set of kits for next season.

TORINO 2016/17 HOME KIT

This is the home kit which Torino will wear during the 2016/17 season.

The shirt is the traditional granata – burgundy – colour, with white trim.

The round neck collar features a thin white band whilst the cuffs are solid extra thick white bands. Across the shoulders, kit manufacturer Kappa has four of their logos replicating the stripes and panels of their rivals.

The shirt is sponsor-less which is just as well since it would distract from the tonal pattern of Il Toro – the Bull. It’s an exquisite touch across the lower left of the front of the shirt, extending to the side.

The back is plain with just the motif, “1906 2016” printed on the rear neckline, in white.

It is another fabulous design.

The white shirt is untarnished by logos beyond the understated Kappa logo on the right shoulder, leaving the stunning effect of the granata sash and white Toro motif at the top left edge of the trim, to take centre stage.

With the only other trim the granata round neck collar, it is a stunning kit for the Turin-based side to wear.

Torino 2016/17 Third Kit

This is the third kit Torino will wear occasionally during the 2016/17 season.

The shirt shares the same design template as the home kit. This time, the granata colour scheme is changed to the blue worn by the Azzurri to such devastating effect this summer.

The tonal bull motif is present on the lower left of the body whilst the trim is granata, present in the thin band around the collar and the thick cuffs.

In the fashion stakes, Torino have just taken to the catwalk and produced a sensational set of kits. The gauntlet has well and truly been thrown down.
