Celebrating their return to the Championship, Yorkshire-based Barnsley have released their 2016-17 away kit. The Tykes won their promotion play-off final comfortably against Millwall and have been rewarded with two Yorkshire derbies – at Huddersfield and home to Rotherham United – in August. That’s besides the tough matches at Ipswich and home to Derby County and QPR.
Barnsley 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the Barnsley away kit for the 2016/17 season.
The shirt, manufactured by Puma, is dark navy blue. It’s a clean design with no pattern on the front or the back.
The collar, a winged v-shape, has a retro feel to it, with the open neck referencing the kit designs popular in the late-70s. The only way it could be any more retro is to be white!
On the right breast in Puma’s logo whilst the club crest sits opposite on the right. Primary shirt sponsor, CK Beckett, is featured on the lower chest whilst on the reverse, secondary shirt sponsor, Palmer, feature across the shoulders. All logos are in gold font.
The shorts and socks are also dark navy blue with the club crest in gold and Puma’s logo likewise.
It’s a stylish look for next season’s Championship. Whether the players find it inspirational or not, we shall see.
