Associação Atlética Ponte Preta; one of Brazil’s lesser known Serie A clubs.
From the city of Sao Paulo, they have yet to win the Campeonato Brasiliero. They were promoted from Serie B as runners-up in 2014. They are three-times winners of the Campeonato Paulista do Interior, a competition for the clubs which don’t reach the latter stages of the Campeonato Paulista. In that sense, they are the most successful club.
Ponte Preta 2016/17 Home Kit
This is the Ponte Preta home kit for the Campeonato Brasiliero in 2016 and the Campeonato Paulista in 2017.
Manufactured by Adidas, the kit has a base colour of white. Were it not for the sash, it could quite easily be a German national shirt template.
The sash is made of gradiented black and white pinstripes. It gives an interesting effect as it travels from the left shoulder to the right side of the shirt.
The collar is white with black piping down the side and around the back of the neck, stopping at collarbone level.
Adidas’ trademark Three Stripes run across the shoulders to the top of the shoulder. The panel housing the trim is perforated to help air circulate around the body.
The shorts and socks for the kit are all-white, accompanied only by Adidas’ black manufacturer’s trim.
It’s a straightforward kit for the Macaca as they seek to achieve their season’s aim of mid-table obscurity.
