Cameroon Reveal 2016 Kit In France Friendly

With the club season now over in Europe, the focus is firmly on international football. As part of the Euro2016 warm-ups, Cameroon recently played in Nantes where they lost 2 – 3 to France. Returning to Africa this weekend, they face Mauritania in an African Cup of Nations qualifier in Nouakchott.

This is the kit which Cameroon will wear for this season’s internationals.

Made by Puma, the design keeps faith with the traditional Cameroonian colours of green shirt, red shorts and yellow socks.

Predominantly green, the shirt features a yellow round neck collar. The chest and midriff areas of the jersey host bands of polka dot horizontal stripes. These form a descending oblong pattern down the centre of the shirt to a triangle in the bottom band.

This pattern is Puma’s revolutionary evoKNIT technology. As well as cooling players bodies quicker than previous kit materials, it is more comfortable to wear.

Across the upper chest, the Puma logo features centrally. It is flanked on the right by the badge of the Cameroon FA, Le Fédération Camerounaise de Football. On the left is the symbol of the national team’s nickname, The Indomitable Lions.

The plain red shorts host the Puma motif on the left thigh with the FCF badge on the right. Yellow socks complete the kit, featuring two green bands separated by the Puma logo.

The kit will be worn in the coming matches which are mainly African Cup of Nations qualifiers. These begin with the weekend’s match in Mauritania followed by a home match against Gambia in September.
