On course for their second consecutive runners-up spot in Ligue Un, Olympique Lyonnais have released their kits for 2016/17 which they hope will spur them on to greater glory.
HOME KIT
Made by Adidas, it retains the club’s traditional base colour of white but is divided by a red and blue stripe.
Starting at the back of the collar, the red and blue run centrally around the neck, ending at the waist to create a stylish focal point on the shirt, broken only by sponsor Hyundai’s logo.
In keeping with their new design format, Adidas have three stripes running from the armpit to waist, joining those which run down the side of the shorts.
Add these to the white socks and Lyon have what will surely be considered one of the best kits in Ligue Un next season. Fans will be able to check out the design for the last home game of the season when they visit Stade Reims on 14th May.
AWAY KIT
On their travels, Lyon return to blue as their primary away kit. This time Adidas have settled on a semi-hooped version, with lighter and darker blue contrasting across the front of the body of the shirt.
In contrast to the home kit, Adidas’ iconic three stripes run across the shoulder, stopping at the top of the plain blue sleeve. It gives the top a stylish look which is sure to be popular as casual wear.
