Tigres have released their 2024 Earth Day kits. The Mexican side joined the Earth Day movement in 2023, which helps battle against global plastic waste. MLS clubs are also a part of the movement thanks to their league manufacturing partnership with Adidas.
The German manufacturer has joined forces with Tigres once again to release three special Earth Day kits. Each shirt represents an eco-friendly colourway green (vegetation), sand (soil) and light blue (water).
Each jersey is also completed with a unique flower graphic which runs throughout the shirt. Earth Day has been commemorated since 1970 and was born as a result of the high plastic pollution around the globe. It is estimated that plastic is 99% manufactured with fossil fuels and that 91% of that product is not recycled and therefore goes to landfills or directly to the ocean, generating a significant pollution problem in the marine mantles.
Tigres currently sit fifth in Liga MX as they aim to win silverware this season in Mexico. What do you think of the Tigres UANL Earth Day kits? Comment below.
