Everton are one of the most recognisable clubs in the Premier League. One of the mainstays in the English top division, this article will look at five of Everton’s best jerseys.
Away shirt 2012/13
This stunning away jersey was worn during David Moyes’ final season at the club. The Toffees finished the season in 6th place with the likes of Nikica Jelavić and Marouane Fellaini leading the line.
Manufactured by Nike, the jersey was a clean, all black style with yellow for the badge and sponsor. The collar also gives it a classy touch.
Third shirt 2019/20
Although this strip is quite recent, it is simply too good to not include on this list. The Toffee’s only wore this jersey twice during the 2019/20 season, so perhaps it has been forgotten by some fans.
Needless to say, the dark navy and lighter blue combination work an absolute treat to create a beautiful jersey.
Away shirt 1994-96
This jersey certainly divides opinions between fans of the Blues, but it makes its way into our list. The shirt has incredible detail but is definitely out there.
If you enjoy unique kits this is a must buy. The white, blue and black colour combination helps give this jersey a great identity.
Home shirt 1991-93
The 1991/92 season saw the return of Howard Kendall to the club as well as the introduction of this iconic home shirt manufactured by Umbro.
Despite the promise, the Toffee’s could only manage a couple of mid-table finishes as they struggled to adapt to the newly formed Premier League.
The shirt itself is simple but has a lovely pattern on the torso, which complements the blue and white colourway of the jersey.
Home shirt 1985-86
It may not be the best looking kit, but Everton’s home shirt from the 1985/86 season is most definitely the Toffee’s most iconic jersey in history.
The shirt is associated closely with Gary Lineker who scored 41 goals during the campaign. Everton finished second in the league and runners-up in the FA Cup that season, losing out on both trophies to bitter rivals Liverpool.
