English sports manufacturing giant Umbro has revealed a brand new logo design in honour of its 100-year anniversary. The company, known for its iconic football kits, decided to mark the occasion with a fresh emblem, departing from the previous logo that has been used since 2008.
Drawing inspiration from its 1960s design, the commemorative logo showcases the iconic two-diamond pattern, but with a return of a small red diamond that replaces the traditional two black ones. Umbro released an announcement video to Twitter, unveiling the brand new logo design to the public.
The Manchester-based company has not disclosed whether the anniversary logo is a permanent change or a limited-time celebration. Currently supplying kits to AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League, Umbro has a storied history of collaborating with football giants like Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Ajax as well as international teams such as England and Brazil during the illustrious football era of the 1990s.
With the unveiling of this centennial logo, Umbro aims to not only celebrate its remarkable journey but also to attract more football clubs to embrace the iconic brand.
