Umbro Applies its Excellent Kit Design to Al Ahli, The Saudi Club Sat in 5th Place.
Here at UK Soccer Shop, we often miss kits. Some are released and we’ve got so many to look at, that we’ll just forget to look at them and it becomes too late. For example, we don’t often take a look at the Saudi Pro League. A league that is fiercely competitive and offers some excellent kits. We want to end that today. Let’s look at Al Ahli. They’ve picked up four points from two games and are in fifth place. To help them push up the table and seriously compete at the top, the club has teamed up with Umbro to craft a simple, bright, typically-Umbro design that has so far gone down positively with the fans.
Let’s take a look
Al Ahli’s home kit is white. Certainly better than the white kit from New York Cosmos, this jersey features a number of trademark Umbro elements that we really like. The second colour of the kit is a light turquoise colour. This can be seen running around the simple, pointed neckline, as well as along the bottom of the sleeves. The bottom of the sleeves feature a number of inter-connected Umbro logos. We’ve seen it with plenty of other kits that they’ve designed and it works very well here.
The white and turquoise colour scheme acts as the perfect blank canvas for the club’s crest, Al Ahli’s main sponsor, and Umbro’s logo. Finally, running along the bottom reverse of the jersey is a blue section. This gives the kit its necessary character and finishes Al Ahli’s jersey off nicely. There’s a long way to go in the Saudi Pro League but the club’s manager, Pablo Guede will hope that Al Ahli can seriously, positively compete.
