Right now, at the time of writing this, Bolton Wanderers are third in the Championship. They beat Birmingham City 1-0 last night to earn themselves that high-level place. But, it’s likely that the table will look unrecognisable in nine months. For any Bolton fans right now, it must feel wonderful. They dipped down into League One but seem to be back with a vengeance. Under the watchful eye of Phil Parkinson, the club is certainly ready to compete at the top levels of English football. Whether they’re Premier League ready is another story, however this club looks hungry.
So far this season we’ve shown you Bolton’s home kit. It was simple and fitted with the club’s image. We really liked the semi-classic collar and the uncluttered nature of the design. Their third kit is bold, has plenty of character, and reflects the club’s extensive heritage.
The colouring of the kit is blue. It features a number of thin, dark-blue lines that run vertically down the front of the kit top. On top of these lines sit the club’s crest, their main sponsor, and Macron’s logo. Each remaining uncluttered and effective.
Also on the kit is Bolton’s coat of arms and the words “Supera Moras.” These words translate to “Bolton on the Moors.” The kit features a semi-classic neckline with a built up collar. The colouring of this collar is a darker blue which can also be seen on the tapering of each sleeve.
Most kit designers have specialised technology that has been incorporated into the kit’s design. Macron’s is called M-Performance System fabric and features throughout this jersey.
We at UK Soccer Shop really hope that the club can retain these top spots to give themselves a chance of promotion. For Bolton Wanderers’ fans, it would be great to see them in League One in 2017 and the Premier League in 2019. Whether or not that’s achievable, only time will tell.
