Bradford City AFC. They’ve yo-yo’d up and down the Championship since 2004 and simply haven’t settled. Their recent footballing life has seen them make brief appearances in League One and two bottom-half finishes in the Championship. While Michael Collins will hope to get his team into the Premier League, will simply be hoping for a top-half of the table finish. They don’t want League One football. With new transfer rumours circling every day next season looks a little more promising. To beckon the 2018/19 season in, the club have teamed up with Avec designers to craft a home kit that is simple and stunning.
The main colour of the kit is claret. On top of this chest colouring is the club’s crest, Avec’s design logo, and Bradford City’s main sponsor – JCT600. None of these crowds the others out. The kit does not appear too muddled or confused. Instead it retains an important simplicity that makes this kit stylish.
The neckline is simple – yellow with a black line running through the middle. Its ‘V’ neck nature ensures that the kit has a positive, dynamic shape.
The sleeves are black with a yellow ad black tapering at the bottom. This matches the style of the neckline and compliments the body colour nicely.
The kit is finished with claret shorts, accessorised by yellow lines running down the side, and claret socks with yellow tapering at the top.
Finally, the back of the kit top is another of Bradford City’s sponsors – Mitton Group. On the kit, the sponsors do not crowd out the club crest or design features. It seems like the elements compliment each other and fit in nicely.
We really do like this home kit and can’t wait to see it running around North Commercials Stadium next season. Whether it holds promotion or relegation, we at UK Soccer Shop will be watching.
