Red Star Belgrade Release Their 2018/19 Third Kit by Macron

Red Star Belgrade are a Serbian team who compete in the Serbian Superliga. The team’s stadium: The Rajko Mitic Stadium has a capacity of over fifty-five and a half thousand and the manager, Vladan Milojević, has seen his team compete fiercely against teams like Partizan and Vozdovac to win the league. As we build up towards the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Red Star can take a break and release their final kit, the third kit. It is simple, classic and has stylistic flair in abundance. We at UK Soccer Shop love the kit but will it be enough to keep the team champions next season?

If you were to say to someone “Red Star” and then kit, they might have in their head a red coloured jersey with stars across it. That is exactly what kit designers Macron have gone for.

Yesterday we looked at Stoke City’s home and away kits. Both were designed by Macron. However each was different in style. The away kit was bright purple cut together with a deeper shade. This stylish decision was a daring one that was compared by the author to Violet Beauregard.

With this third kit, there are no such comparisons to be made. The combination of red and white is a winning one. The stars are subtle but still add a new dynamic to the simplicity on display. Down the sides of the kit top runs a white line towards the under arms. This completes the look.

The collar is where the real action happens. It’s a classic, open collar which reflects the extensive heritage of the club. Neither the club’s crest, Macron’s logo, or the main sponsor is crowded out, each positioned with full prominence.

They won the league this season. We at UK Soccer Shop hope that Vladan Milojević can lead his team back to the top of the table in this kit. While it might not feature regularly, its simple, stylish nature will surely gain it some playtime.
