The World Cup 2018 in Russia is only one moth away (give or take a few days). We at UK Soccer Shop are too excited for words, except we will try to put it into words for your convenience. It’s the coming together of the very best of national football. There’s drama, dodgy decisions, lovely football and hilarious fans caught on camera. As well as these essentials, it’s impossible not to marvel at the beautiful game being played in stunning kits. Today we’d like to showcase Senegal, a country in West Africa, who together with Puma have created a home kit that is truly breath taking.
A white kit sometimes causes alarm bells to ring quite loudly. After showcasing Cosmos’ questionable kit, the author thought white kits simply weren’t for them. However Bayer Leverkusen’s home jersey restored their faith and Senegal’s is certainly something to behold.
The country’s crest is a defiant lion. It’s face is turned in the opposite direction to the Puma’s jump and is incredibly relevant and important.
While the kit top itself might be white with green colouring across the shoulders, half the sleeve, tapering, and neckline, there is an element which is semi-hidden, however almost impossible to miss.
In an incredibly artistic, beautiful pattern is the tiger. Jumping out of the kit top’s front and matching the defiance of the country crest. If the kit didn’t have the lion’s face in its unique style, large on the front, we would say this is a nice kit with some interesting flare such as the Puma logo in white on the green sleeve, however its bold, unique, hidden lion truly makes for an interesting concept.
A large part of us really wants to see this kit lifting the World Cup trophy. However, Spain have today released their preliminary squad and it is intimidating!
