1860 München 2016 Oktoberfest Kit Revealed

It’s that time of the year. TSV 1860 München celebrate the beginning of the Oktoberfest on 17th September with their traditional kit for the occasion. It will be worn during the ‘Wiesn’ match at home to Hannover 96 on 25th September. Hannover’s own Oktoberfest begins that weekend, running through to October.

The 2.Bundesliga club sit in mid-table having recorded a win, draw and defeat in their opening three games of this season. They are currently looking for a new home with the Allianz Arena that they current share with Bayern Munich, their local rivals, being unsuitable for their 2nd flight existence.

This is the 1860 Munchen 2016 Oktoberfest shirt.

The blue shirt with white sleeves features a Bavarian print across the body.

A white Henley-style collar provides a two-button neckline whilst the sleeve trim comes in the form of navy blue cuffs. At the bottom of the shirt is a blue hem with a thin white band.

Kit manufacturer Macron included the motto “Einmal Löwe, immer Löwe” (Once a lion, always a lion) across the top of the club crest, referencing the TSV 1860 Munich nickname.

The shorts are brown, replicating the design of Leiderhosen whilst the white socks feature blue bands.

1,860 kits will be made and they go on sale tomorrow, Monday 12th September from club outlets.
