Coventry City’s 2018/19 Third Kit has Been Designed by Nike
We’re Stuck into the Season. Here’s Coventry City’s 2018/19 Third Kit.
Earlier today we wrote a piece about the new Nike Mercurials. The football boots’ design is eye-catching and the materials used are both breathable and lightweight. In that article we pointed out that this week has been full of concept kits and football boots. Today seemed like it would be no different, until Coventry City’s 2018/19 third kit was pushed across our digital desk. Yes, that’s right. This kit actually exists.
The club is currently sat in 12th place, slap bang in the middle of League One. While fans won’t be too concerned about possible relegation, they will want to see their club rise up the ranks and compete for promotion. Furthermore, Coventry City’s next match is against Southend United and it’s a game that Mark Robins will hope his team can win. The home kit was a simple sky blue design, and the away jersey was white. Let’s see what the third kit has to offer.
Coventry City’s 2018/19 third kit consists of green and black vertical stripes. These stop at the sleeves which are green. On top of this striped blank canvas is the club’s crest, the logo and Coventry City’s main sponsor.
Running around the simple neckline of the jersey is a thin white stripe. This adds a positive contrast to the kit’s green and black colour scheme. Furthermore, Nike has used its cutting-edge Dri-Fit technology to ensure that even under the most intense pressure, players can feel calm and collected.
The overall design of Coventry City’s 2018/19 third kit has been received positively by fans. The kit, finished with black shorts and green socks, utilises the best of Nike’s practical and aesthetic design ideas. We at UK Soccer Shop think it’s an excellent alternative kit but what do you think?
