We Want You to See Valencia CF’s 2019/20 Concept Kits

A New Concept Kit has Arrived. This Time, it Belongs to Valencia CF.

Valencia CF is a Spanish football team. Furthermore, they compete in La Liga and are currently sat in 13th position. Despite this mid-table standing, Valencia CF drew with Barcelona before the international break. Drawing with the titans of Spanish football must have filled Marcelino García Toral and his team with a huge amount of confidence. There’s a long way to go before this season comes to an end, but our eyes are looking towards the 2019/20 campaign.

We’re interested in the guesswork that goes into concept kits. Concept kit designs are similar to betting. A designer will make an educated guess as to what they think the club will be wearing. They take into account previous designs, sponsors and a designer’s trademark flourishes. Today’s concept kit, if you hadn’t guessed from the title, is Valencia CF’s.

The club’s home concept kit is black. Furthermore, running vertically up the front of the jersey is a number of yellow and red lines. These act as the perfect blank canvas for the club’s crest, their main sponsor, and Adidas’ logo to sit on top of. The authentic kit having been designed by Adidas, this concept jersey features red and yellow stripes across the shoulders. Finally, around the bottom of each sleeve is a border made up of a yellow and red stripe.

Valencia CF’s away kit is blue. It ditches the vertical lines, instead opting for a series of diagonal stripes, creating a vaded sash pattern. At the top of the sash is the brightest shade of blue. This shade also runs across the shoulders in Adidas’ trademark three-stripe pattern. The club’s away concept kit allows for the crest to stand out prominently. Which of Valencia CF’s two kits do you prefer?
