Pumas Unam Have Revealed Their 2018/19 Away Kit from Nike
Pumas UNAM are Back with Another Excellent Kit. This time it’s their away one.
So first of all, who are the Pumas? Well, when we took a look at their home kit, we described them like this:
“The team are a Mexican side who play under the watchful eye of David Patino at the Estadio Olimpico Universitario. They were founded in 1954 and finished their 2017/18 campaign in 7th place. Furthermore, the Liga MX (the league that the club plays in) has already gotten underway and currently the club sits on three points. Granted only one game has been played.”
While most of that description is correct, the league has somewhat changed. Eleven games have been played and the Pumas are currently in fifth place with 19 points. Furthermore, to celebrate their steady start, we want to bring you the club’s away kit.
Their home one was excellent. It was bright white and was dominated by a bold Aztec pattern. Let’s see how the away kit shapes up.
The kit colour is a dull gold. Running up the front of the jersey are a number of thin black lines. These lines act as a slightly cluttered blank canvas for the Pumas’ club crest, their main sponsor, and Nike’s iconic Swoosh. We only think it’s a little cluttered on the front because the lines don’t break around Nike’s Swoosh or the club’s crest.
The black stripes continue across the shoulders and down to the bottom of each sleeve. On the nape of the simple neckline, the club’s crest can be seen in gold on a black background. Like with all Nike kits this season, the jersey incorporates the kit designer’s cutting-edge breathable technology. This technology allows Pumas’ players to feel completely calm under intense pressure. Furthermore, the away jersey has so far been positively received by the fanbase.
