Bahia is a Brazilian Football Team Looking to Make a Splash with Their Latest Home Kit.
As we wrote in our earlier piece today, we at UK Soccer Shop love bringing you football kits from around the world. It doesn’t matter which continent or whether it’s a home, away, or third kit. We’ll bring them to you. This post comes at you from Brazil. More specifically, Bahia. Before we look at their brilliant home kit, let’s find out who they are.
On the Northeastern coast of Brazil sits the state of Bahia. It surrounds the city of Salvador – the region’s capital. Bahia’s population is around 15.2 million and it would take around thirteen and a half hours to arrive, if travelling by aeroplane from the UK. But enough about the territory and this author’s travel plans, let’s see how the football team shapes up.
The team currently sits in 14th place after 27 games. It isn’t a disastrous position to be (especially writing from an Ipswich Town fan’s perspective), but Enderson Moreira, the club’s manager, will want his team to climb the table at least a few places before the season ends.
To help them this season, they’ve had help from a kit designer called Esquadrao. Together Bahia and Esquadrao have crafted a stunning, simple home kit that is considerately crafted. Let’s take a look.
The body of the jersey is white. Sat on top of this plain blank canvas is the club’s crest, their main sponsor, and the kit designer’s logo. Running across the shoulders and sleeves are a half-and-half combination of blue and red. The simple neckline is pointed at the front and is bordered with red material. Finally, the nape of the home jersey has been utilised. It displayed two stars on a red background. This commemorates the club’s success.
