FC Goa’s Half-and-Half Kit has Proven Popular with us.
Where is Goa? You might have heard of them, you might not have. It’s a state within Western India and, according to Wikipedia, its coastlines stretch, “along the Arabian Sea.” At one time a colonial hub of international trading, today, Goa is a popular tourist destination. Its long, gorgeous beaches and scattered historic landmarks make it the perfect place for those looking to capture a new Facebook profile picture. Furthermore, the state of Goa also has its own football team. They compete in the Indian Super League and last season finished in third place out of ten teams. This wasn’t a bad finish at all. Ipswich Town fans would right now trade their own mothers for a third place finish. The league kicks off in five days and FC Goa will hope for a top place finish this season.
To help them get there, FC Goa has released their latest home kit. The players did so by bursting through a paper picture of themselves. This author already loves this club.
The kit itself is a half and half one. It features bright orange on one side and white on the other. The orange fades into white across a number of thin, orange lines. According to the press release, the colouring was chosen because it demonstrates FC Goa’s fiery passion.
Around the simple neckline is navy blue bordering. This contrasting colour gives the kit its necessary depth and added character. The jersey is finished off with orange shorts which are also bordered with blue. Furthermore, the white socks that match the kit have thin, horizontal, orange lines running across them.
The kit design is groundbreaking because previously FC Goa’s players have worn blue.
We at UK Soccer Shop really quite like this new kit. What do you think?
