Ukraine Reveal Their 2018/19 Home Kit by Joma
Ukraine’s Latest Home Kit is Overshadowed by Their Promotional Photos.
Earlier on today we showed you both of Jamaica’s latest kits The home one was simple and considered in its design. The away jersey blew us away. Now, as we turn our attention to some of the other kits on offer on the international front, we have been confronted with Ukraine’s latest home kit. Designed by Joma, it’s a positive, eye-catching kit. However, that’s not what stood out to us. It’s Ukraine’s promotional photos that caught our eyes. Usually, the models or players are wearing the kit, looking very serious and cool. Perhaps in a stadium, perhaps in an underpass, leaning against the graffiti-covered wall. For Ukraine, the players have been told to do something strange with their hand. Whether they’re both sneezing in these photos is unclear. We’re trying not to let it detract from the simple, bold, kit that Joma have produced.

While we can question why the players have chosen to cover their mouths (a cold sore, perhaps) until the cows come home, what might be best is if we look at the kit itself. It’s eye-catching and more importantly: bright yellow.
The kit features a simple neckline which is bordered with blue and yellow stripes. These stripes can also be seen once again around the bottom of the sleeves. They positively complete the kit and add character to it.
Having an uncluttered, un-patterned front acts as the jersey’s perfect, simple blank canvas for the country’s crest and Joma’s iconic logo.
The country of Ukraine is currently ranked 35th in the world. Furthermore, they’ve been steadily rising up the competitive rankings since their 90th position back in 1993 and it surely won’t be long until they’re competing with top teams at the next international tournament.
