Jamaica Have Revealed Their 2018/19 Home Kit by Umbro

Could Usain Bolt be Called Up to Jamaica’s International Squad? Let’s Take a Look at Their 2018/19 Home Kit

Two weeks ago we first talked about the Central Coast Mariners. They’re a club in Australia who finished in 10th place last season. If that was the English Championship, that wouldn’t sound too bad but it wasn’t. There are only ten clubs competing in Australia’s top footballing league. As a result, they now want to climb the table. To do so, they brought in Usain Bolt to play. The problem? The coach says he’s unfit. Either way, his speed is key and it might see him get a call up to the Jamaican international team at some point. To celebrate that potential fact, let’s take a look at Jamaica’s 2018/19 home kit.

While this author isn’t particularly keen on Norwich as a club, he will admit that yellow and green do make a positive combination. That’s exactly what we see here.

The body of the jersey is bright yellow. It acts as the perfect blank canvas to feature Umbro’s logo and the country’s crest. The simple neckline is bordered with green and this colour contrast can be seen on the tapering of each sleeve. Furthermore, across the shoulders is green and within this area are yellow ‘X’s and black diamonds. This increases the kit’s character.

The promotional photographs are a blend of professional shots from within Independence Park and inside people’s homes. We love the positivity that each photographs emits and we really like Jamaica’s latest home kit. It is bright, bold, and eye-catching.

Currently ranked 54th in the world, Jamaica has a long way to go to properly compete with the big teams, however it’s a vast improvement from their 97th ranking back in 2007. We look forward to seeing this kit top at Independence Park
