Atletico Madrid Reveal Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Nike
A Bright Blue Kit Could Be Just What Atletico Madrid Needs.
As of writing this it’s almost the weekend. That’s right, we at UK Soccer Shop have got the Friday feeling. Don’t worry though, that won’t stop us showing off the very best kit releases from around the world. Earlier in the week we wanted to bring you Atletico Madrid’s 2018/19 third kit. It was eye-catching and reflective of the fans’ traditional celebrations in the city’s main plaza. Casting your minds back a few months and you may also remember that we showed you the club’s home kit. It was simple but the slightly darker colours really appealed to us. It almost reminded us of a superhero costume. Today, we want to bring you Atletico Madrid’s away kit. We’re filling in the gaps of those kits that we initially missed upon release.
With the departure from Real Madrid of Christiano Ronaldo, Atletico Madrid fans might have been feeling rather positive about the season before it started. Now, with Atletico down in 10th and Real Madrid in second place, it seems like there’s a long way to go. The two matches they’ve played so far this season have either ended in a draw or a loss. Surely this can’t be blamed on the kit. Can it?
Altletico Madrid’s away kit is bright blue. It contrasts perfectly with the yellow and red Spanish flag that features on the nape, the clubs sponsor, and Nike’s logo. Each element appearing in red.
Across the shoulders and sleeves Nike employs its breathable technology. This is inter-cut with thin dark blue lines to give the kit extra character and depth. The neckline is simple and the sleeves remain untapered.
We at UK Soccer Shop really hope that the club can climb the table and compete with Real Madrid. Only time will tell if they can.
