Borussia Dortmund Have Revealed Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Puma
Do you remember May this year? Of course you do. Being flippant, it was a time before the World Cup drama. Before the seemingly endless heatwave. A time when we were diving into kit releases left, right, and centre. At the beginning of that wonderful springtime month, we brought you Borussia Dortmund’s 2018/19 home kit. Now, almost four months later, we want to take a peek at the club’s away kit. It consists of a simple, effective pattern that we love, and a few design flourishes that really make the kit excellent.
Yesterday, at the highest heights of the Bundesliga, Dortmund beat Leipzig 4-1. Only one game has been played, however this result means that the club have taken all three points. Furthermore, they’re sat at the top of the table, on goal difference. The table will certainly change completely at the end of the season, however Bayern Munich currently sit in second place.
it be interesting to note that after their win, the share price of Borussia Dortmund rose by 2.5%.
The under colour of the kit is black. Across the top of the chest and around to the back is a pattern that we saw on AC Milan’s latest third kit. It is a faded, grainy pattern which has been received positively by fans.
Across each of the sleeves is a yellow band and a sponsor on one of them. The Puma logo sits at the top of the shoulder, however, due to the pattern, it is tricky to work out when the sleeve ends and the body begins.
Here at UK Soccer shop, we love it when kit designers put something on the nape. In this instance, it is the letters of the club: BVB.
We can’t wait to see how the Bundesliga unfolds and Borussia Dormund perform. In nine months time, we’ll find out the new title holders, until then, let’s marvel at the latest away kit from the club.
