Northampton Town Reveal Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Nike
They are relegated. This season, if you’re a Northampton Town fan, you’ll be watching your team in League Two. It isn’t the end of the world but their last spell in this division lasted for seven years. As a result, Dean Austin’s Cobblers will hope to climb out of League Two rather swiftly. Right now, to make matters worse, the club is in the news because the ex owner of the club was dishonest about a loan made by Northampton council for £10 million. The fans need some positivity and that might just come in the form of the club’s latest away kit. Northampton Town have teamed up with Nike to craft a bright, bold kit that will surely exceed expectations. The kit features interesting tapering and a release slogan that is sure to get the blood pumping (whether positively or negatively).
The slogan for the kit is “Show your true colours.” Many fans will have shown their true colours as the club drifted further and further towards relegation.
The kit is bright yellow. A brave, instantly bold choice for any kit designer. This is combined with red, another interesting choice. Red features on the thick tapering around the sleeves, as well as across the shoulders.
On the chest of the kit features the club’s crest, Nike’s iconic Swoosh, and an advertisement for the University of Northampton.
The kit features Nike’s cutting-edge, Dri-Fit technology, meaning that even when chasing next season’s promotion, the players will be kept cool under even the most intense pressure.
The stylish kit features another sponsor on the nape of the jersey – PTS Training & Apprenticeships. The shorts and socks are red, this completes the kit nicely.
