Hajduk Split Reveal Their 2018/19 Home Kit by Macron

Tonight England head to their first World Cup semi final in 28 years. The last time they competed at this stage, Sir Bobby Robson was manager and Gary Lineker was banging in goals for fun. It was the infamous crying moment for Paul Gascoigne. He’d received a yellow card meaning he wouldn’t play in the final (if England had reached it). West Germany booted England out via penalties. A harsh way to go and a legacy that has stuck with the footballing nation ever since. Gareth Southgate’s seemingly inexperienced team who are said to be learning on the job go into the semi finals against Croatia. The team might have rolled Sweden over rather comfortably. But they’re now dealing with a quick-pace side headed by Luka Modric. Hajduk Split are a Croatian footballing side who compete at the top of their game.

If you’ve read these articles over the past few months, you’ll know that we at UK Soccer Shop love simplicity. It is a quality that when done correctly, can really be effective. Hajduk have teamed up with Macron to create a simple, well-designed home kit that subtly reflects the heritage of the club. It’s hard not to like this kit, but it’s also hard to be in love with it. It does the job.

What do you think about Hajduk Split’s latest home kit? Love it or hate it?

The kit is plain white. Underneath the club’s crest the number “1911” is printed incredibly subtly. This year is the founding of the club and fans will surely enjoy the heritage reflection.

The bottoms of the sleeves are tapered in white and around the neckline there features a little bit of metallic grey.

Most Croatian football fans will be waiting with anticipation for tonight’s national game against England. It’s sure to be a tense game that could swing in either direction. To take fans’ minds off the nervous excitement, this kit top will certainly calm them down. Simply because there is very little to get excited about.
