New Football Kits

Queens Park Rangers Release their 2018/19 Home and Away Kits

Queens Park Rangers. The team managed by Steve McClaren. Dubbed by the tabloid media as: The Wally with the Brolly, after England’s post-golden generation team were knocked out of the qualification for the Euros by Croatia in 2007. The team play at Loftus Road, in one of the nicest Championship stadiums and the club finished their 2017/18 season in 16th place. While this finish made sure they were safe from relegation, it is still far from ideal.

Queens Park Rangers have bounced around the Championship, with a couple of brief spells in the Premier League. They’ve had their share of joy and negativity, but one thing is certain, they won’t be happy sat in the bottom half of the Championship.

To get them into the top half of 2018/19’s table, McClaren has set his sights on a number of highly-rated Championship players. Including Chris Martin from Derby County. That’s an interesting transfer because Lampard, Derby’s new manager played under McClaren during his brief England managerial career in 2006-7. Now they’re equals.

As well as transfers, the club has teamed up with Errea to create two kits that firstly, we really love. And also, will surely be uncontroversial. Meaning fans won’t take too much issue with them and will let the club get on with business.

The home kit is made up of blue and white, horizontal stripes. Inside the blue stripe features the club’s crest and Errea’s logo in white writing. Inside the lower white stripe is the club’s sponsor – Royal Panda, in black writing. This means that none of the important writing is lost.

The top white stripe that wraps around the neckline extends down onto half of the sleeve. The really interesting part of this kit, however, is the tapering that features on the bottom of the sleeves and around the neckline. The tapering is made of red, white, and blue. An excellent colour combination ontop of the white and blue stripes.

Queens Park Rangers’ second kit is pink. A shade that could be argued to be hot pink.

Across the chest are a number of darker lines and the tapering on the sleeves and neckline is white, pink, and navy blue.

Running across the shoulders and to the bottom of the sleeves is a darker patch of pink that is emphasised by its white outline.

We think these are both excellent kits in two different ways. One has the classic colouring with a couple of new design decisions that have really paid off. The second is bold, vibrant and stylish. As a result, both kits will surely be welcomed next season.
