New Football Kits

TSV 1860 Munich Reveal Their 2018/19 Home and Away Kits

German football. Go across the channel, hop in a car and head down through France, perhaps Belguim and into Germany. Once there, you might find yourself in the Signal Iduna Park or Allianz Arena. Looking round, you might notice something quite different to Britain. Safe standing. Ever since the horrific disasters of Hillsborough and the Heysel Stadium, fans stood to watch were to blame. Not the amount of fans crammed in or the ill-equipped exits. It looks like there is increased pressure to re-introduce safe standing but until these debates are properly had, fans will have to travel to places like Germany to enjoy the energy of on-your-feet football. Why is this relevant? Because TSV 1860 Munich have just released their home and away kits. They’re simple and stunning. Simply stunning.

We at UK Soccer Shop love them and we’re confident that you will too!

Munich 1860 TSV’s home kit is sky blue. A fantastic start. Its other colour is white. The rampant lion in the club’s crest features once again running up the side of the kit. The stylistic framework is seen once again the the club’s main sponsor: Bayerische Beamten Versicherung AG, an insurance company. The sponsor has a lion’s head as the logo. By not having lots of distracting logos, shapes, animals, and colours, the kit is successful in being simplistically pleasing to the eye.

The sleeves of the home kit are white and tapered with light blue.

The neckline is the final interesting point. It seems to be the perfect blend of modern and classic – white running underneath the blue folds of a collar.

While the home kit provided a light, refreshing design. The away kit is darker, but still just as well designed.

The white writing and the black inside the logo are all luminous green and the body itself is a dark blue. There are breathable strips under the arms allowing the player’s skin to breath, even when under the most pressure. The away kit also ditches the neo-classic collar and exchanges it for a simple, green-tapered neckline.

Both kits are beautifully designed. We can’t wait to see them next season!
